Just sent you a pm. A carb loom might be easier to start with if you cqn get one. I used spi as it was already fitted to the car, dan |

i believe that the mpi ecu controls more that fueling/ignition in the mpi car. the spi ecu only does the ignition ande injection side of things. as you are replacing the injection with carb that should be ok. either remove or tape into the loom the injection plugs etc.i traced and removed the ecu and ignition wires. you will also come across the 'switched live' which will be needed when wiring in megajolt. basically the injection stuff is unplugged and replaced with the carb, the spi ignition wiring/gubbins is removed and replaced almost directly with the megajolt. the fuel pump etc still worked on mine, so did everything else on the car, apart from the rev counter (which will work once you have wired it into the megajolt). its a case of working your way through and removing the unwanted wiring (ignition part) from the spi loom. it didnt take long and was more straight forward that i thought it might be.
