hi

little (big) questions.
i have bought a estate for my wife long time ago and recently got the engine loose ( had rust in 2 of the 4 bores poured a can of cocacola in the waited to days took some steel-wool to clean them and engine is now loose. ) but would i get away with a normal small simple honing of the bores so i can use the original pistons (just new pistonrings)
ore will i have to bore it up? if yes..... what pistons are the next smallest step up?

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

If there is no pitting in the bores you will need to measure them for size and roundness and check that against the specifications

I seriously doubt it!

there is slight pitting... very slight. but know for a fact the engine has never been rebuild before. she wants to keep the estate so original as possible that includes the engine so if i have to bore out i want pistons as small as possible.

If you havent already stripped the engine just run it and see how it goes

I seriously doubt it!
