Right i have been thinking about building a plenum for the hiff 44, i was wondering what bits are needed i know you need the small hole on the right hand side of the carb.

From what i have found searching is that you need a special sized tube for the float chamber to run at the correct pressure or have i got this mistaken? I dont have a standard plenum to hand to look at atm so if anyone has detailed pics of the inside and outside that would be brill.

The plenum i want to create (out of cardboard for now) would be a two peice item, a removable rear section with a plate bolted to the carb (abit like the itg filter setup and how that works).

All information and any sites and design softwear names that i could build a model on would be much aprecheated *smiley*

Do you mean a pitot tube?
You don't actually need this if you make the opening to the carb the correct size.
Someone on here has been experimenting with pitot tubes, have a search.

Easiest thing is to buy a plenum, then sell it when you're done.

The restrictor is a 2" tube with cutouts. I made one for a plenum that had had it removed. I used a bit of 2" exhaust pipe.

Somewhere around Swindon

Why?
Two peice is complicated to seal and both nics and the original work perfect and would be cheaper
