I am tempted by the +30 (seeing as it is the going price of some mystery 1275's)

The smoking and the reason it was removed, what was the cause of the smoking? is it just because it was a fresh build? will this disapear once run in? Or is it due to some unknown fault?

Spotted your other halfs advert on TMF which has lead me here!

Had it rebuilt for my minis return to the road
Put it in and drove it around my square, smoked abit which would fail so bought the other 1275
Passed first time so took the 1275 back out to run in the 1301 and then a friend gave me his super spec engine :)

Still wondering whether I should keep it as I've spent a fair bit on it
Crank was freshly ground, nitrided and cross drilled too
12g940 28cc head with big valves & flowed head
