how did you fit the cam bearings? as far as i know its not a job that can be done by the average person at home - if you tap/press them in the chances are that they will no longer be round and the cam will not fit. had mine done by the guy who machined my block.. |

Check the faces of the shells to make sure they don't have any dinks from fitting.

These need a shade of a hone now! Take the engine, block to a machine shop...... that's your best bet

the shells themselves do not have any dinks, they were pushed in with a tool i made.

ok this one's sorted, bought a small honing device and honed out just enough to make the cam spin freely |
