Looking on http://www.turbomaster.info/eng/ for suitabel donors of a GT15 I noticed that there are quite a few variations on this model. Does any one know of any significant differences between the GT15, GT1544, GT1544S, GT1544V, GT1546S, and GT1549S?

Near Lincoln

some of it will be trim size, some of it could be casting differences in the housings for bolt to inlets/exhaust etc

the only way is to actually get proper pictures or get your hands on them, wouldn't have thought any of the diesel ones will be water cooled though

I know them. VNT15 garret, use varrible nossles to control the boost by varying the power of the exhaust turbine by varying the size of the nozzles and in turn the velocity of the gases.

Thats the one I am attepting to use. No one really knows if it will work or even last very long with high EGT (exhaust gas temps) of a petrol engine although the materials used are appaarently for use with either diesel or petrol engines.

I have read other people using it on petrol engines with a great success boosting from very low RPMs but none of them say how long it was used for basically all the write ups so far are build it up drive it round the block and it works well descriptions.

Mine should be up and running very very soon the limit is about 170BHP for these as used on the Golf GTIs, SEAT TDi, etc they can be chipped upto 170bhp from the 130bhp they come standard with.

Thats all I can tell you, the truth will be when it up and running *tongue*
