Back in the day it was very common to make your mk1 look like a mk2 to appear newer and more modern.

some crashed car would have been reshelled into mk2s back then too

my track car when it was massacred into a rally car was a mk1 austin 1275 s, now has mk2 rear end, even vizard's book tells you how to do it

Needs some attention to the hydro, it's low on one side.

My grandad also says the same as Paul loads of old mk1 were made to look like a mk2 as everyone at the time wanted the more modern looking car.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
