Anybody know of somewhere in the area that does acid dipping. Need my block cleaning.

have you tried asking the mini spot near camp? Downton motor engineering. If you head out of camp as if your heading towards reading where you turn right on that first roundabout there should be a small industrial estate with a gate on the left. Its in there, they would maybe point you in the right direction. |

Usually about a tenner. If its completely crap and needs a lot of cleaning out in the water jacket maybe £20. |

Depends on whats required. We strip all the paint and shit off using a caustic bath. This will dull the surface slightly but not effect the steel. If we then have the acid dip the block to remove rust ect then it will defo need honing. |
