Hi guys hoping someone can help, i need to order 2 rear coilovers (most likely protech) but not sure how to work out what length I need. Do I measure what the length would be at ride height and then at full droop? Not sure how to work out what poundage springs I need either

Thanks for any help :)

Probably best just to ask protech. They are placed to advise on shit like this *smiley*

I'm running the lowest height protech shock with 7 inch 125 lb faulkner springs. Handles well and not stupidly uncomfortable on the road.

I will check but I think thats the open length of the springs.

It's a bit awkward because I used the longer Jon betts turrets so I could tie them into my cage and have ended up needing something similar to standard length coilovers I think. Something that I've been meaning to buy for a long time now

If they are the increased length then maybe lowered ones as your pritty low. As for spring rate probably about 140 due to your weight

Not sure what's on the back of mine but they are at their lowest and the car is not as low as I'd like.

I guess you don't want to run out of adjustment either way, but your car is low, so more likely shorter springs will be better.

I was gonna suggest measuring you car against a std one, but most of the reference points to measure from have gone!

That'd be great Dave if you don't mind, now it's been mentioned I think lowered or maybe even standard height might work due to how high the turrets are. Thanks for the suggestions :)

What springs did you go for in the end, and how high are the turret tops compared to standard? I need to mount my turrets soon

My turrets are the extra long jon betts ones and are mounted quite high. Ill have a measure of them if you want? Then I rang avo with the measurements from underside of turret to trailing arm pin at what I wanted full droop and ride height. Can't remember what springs I had.. Ill check later and let you know
