hi guysi have a nice 1330 at the mo running around 90 bhp im looking at turboing it it runs a straight cut box and drops omega pistons med crank and rods ect good strong engine Med head will a 276 cam be fine to run with turbo ill put standard 1.3 rockers on instead of the high lift ones and im looking at turboing it like a janspeed set up i know its meant to have ag ect but its the only way i seem confident in doing it as if i dont like it i havent spent time and cut a bulkhead box in for nothing i will run a small turbo and intercooler was wondering if it would be ok and not too loud if i put exhaust straight out th drivers side a panel ? as turbos seem to run quiter im not fussed about dumplvalve ect i prefer flutter any ideas or opinions im open to ideas from them hu have experinced simular set ups sorry bout spelling and grammar

the 276 is doable, you'll need to drop the compression as normal so either swap the head or get the chambers taken out,

with a small turbo like the T2 and the mirage manifold you wont need to cut the bulk head.

the exhaust will still be a bit noisy, any kind of silencer will take the edge off it

Have a lokk at Mike race's build - search tangerine. He has a side mount turbo with exhaust popping out the side. It's quite loud. I think there are some vids of it running.

The 'flutter' you mention is compressor stall, it will eventually break your turbo. Fit a recirculating dump valve of you don't want the noise.

I think if you ran the tail pipe to the rear you might get away with no silencer, but out of the front I'm not so sure. I ran my Nimbus with just the down pipe and it it was loud, plus it sounded shit.

Also, if you break what you write up in to more manageable segments (lets for the sake of argument call them Sentences) it's easier to read.

you need a silencer to pass the MOT.
