Chaps, due to me having not wired a dizzy onto a mini for simply an age im having a bit of a spazzy moment.
1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

Yes. if its ballast you will only get 9v at the coil. there will be a white/yellow wire from the starter which gives 12v on cranking On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

So do I need to wire in a new wire that gets 12v?

You may need to get rid of the ballast wire with the gold coil as they are 12v not 9v.

Whats the point of it? Does it stop interence with the Radio or summat?

Stick 12v to the + on the coil as a work around to get it going On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Sound that will do, ill cut the old wire back and tape it off and run a 12v from the ign.
