I am removing he dizzy in my SPI and fitting a blanking plug.

Yes, the shaft comes out or it ends up bouncing around in your gear box. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

I second that the first time I forgot made a mess of the shaft, was lucky though no damage to the cam shaft :$ Alan Main Build
