I have this tank from John, think he got it from MarkGTT who said it needed a universal sender, but looking at it I cant find one thats even close, most have a much smaller pcd and 5/6 bolts which go through the gasket-just a hunch but looking at that recess, I would say it takes a solid mini type sender with the rubber seal behind and the bolts and washers clamp it down but I dont have one to try, any ideas maybe even from the man himself?

A mini sender is 62mm diameter. I need to swap the one in my tank for a non injection one if you want one to borrow. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Cheers bud, the inner recess is around 63mm so thats looking favorite, I will hang a bit see if someone confirms it, but if its right and you have one spare I will buy it off ya, can throw it in with the large pile of

Certainly smiths and on a 10v reg, but probably non mini. Just going for a rev counter, fuel and engine temp plus oil and ign warning lights, think that will do

The injection sender might not be ideal for your car then, but you can certainly try it. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Injection sender worked fine in my car with smiths clocks from a 72 car Crystal Sound Audio said:

I used my original injection sender on a 60's center clock fuel gauge no problem On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

Just been prating about with my sender. I have the early smiths clocks and the injection sender is poop with them. Tried a used one for a 5 gallon tank and that works OKish, but only gets to around 3/4 - 7/8 full. Going to order a new sender and bend it to match the injection one.
