Although I have posted a sort of build thread before I just wanted to highlight the benifits of using dear Mr BENROSS.

Dont want to take anything from either redrat or Benross, but I have a 1275 built on a shoestring (MG Metro cam, used MT pistons) but a Turbophil head and GT17 and I got the same horsepower and torque.

Its a 1293 with omega pistons 11cc dish a benross head with enlarged valves etc , straight cut drop gears and 4 pin diff , turbo is standard t3 but rebuilt by turbo techinics . If I want more BHP I will change the turbo but being that its in a car that weighs under 500kg I don't need the extra power just yet :)

You will get 18psi out of a T3 if you try, that's plenty for your car. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Under 500kg fair play! I ran a T3 at 18psi and achieved a fair amount of torque! You should be able to run more boost based on that cr but you will probably find the car way more driveable at 10psi |

I'm taking a trip to the benross HQ on Saturday to see what it's all about , I have heard so much about him and his work and I'm hoping to have a turbo motor built for my van ! |

I think I will have been looking at one or both of your engines today , looking good I might add ! It's been good to meet up with Steve and to see all the time and effort that goes in to the engines ,I like what I see ! |
