Can somebody please comment?

I pulled my 7.5 brakes appart and also split the calipers.
Found the bolts holding the parts together to be quite short:

Is this normal / as should be?

Thx,
Han

should be abit longer than that fella!
that would be for peace of mind as you dont want one of those failing under heavy braking

Pity your bollocks are in line with the flywheel!

Cheers guys.
I was quite convinced myself these were short.
Had a quick look at MS but could not find these.
Can somebody comment on specs of these bolts; iirc these have had a special treatment.

Cheers guys,
Expensive indeed; there is a Fabory close by so I will try Carls advice.
Any comment on the bolts having had a special treatment or should I just try to get some hardened bolts?

You should just need high tensile, grade 8.8 or above.

Cap heads (as Carl suggests) will normally be greater than 8.8, often 10.9 or higher.

The heat treatment and actual alloy "ingredients" is what gives the strength rating.

Rule of thumb on length of thread engagement is 1.25 the diameter as an absolute minimum.

They're not that cheap, but at least they include the correct seal which doesn't come in the caliper rebuild kit.
The seal is available separately though.

Sheffield South Yorkshire GB.

that's my view you need the seals, will have been a long time compressed so will need to be replaced
