New build turbo engine. Forged pistons on plus 40. New bearings centre strap. Mini speed turbo cam and followers. Duplex timing. Head inlet valves enlarged. Heavy duty clutch. Rebuilt turbo gearbox with centre pickup. 4 pin diff. Engine has been started and shows 60 psi. The turbo however will require a rebuild.
Looking for £1200
Or will do deal for normally aspirated engine.

yes i agree gary,

be carefull members, this member is not know and has few posts, hese offering this deal, if it seems to be too good to be true! if it sound as though it is ...............it probalbly will be. the discription is also very vague!

to rjah321 i hope you understand our concerns ............ as some members in the past have paid up and no parts, or an engine thats STANDARD totally clapped out, done starship miles and just been painted with a 6" whitewash brush and floged on etc...... to the total anger of the poor punter whos had it rammed up him....................

like i said i hope you understand.

Engine is brand new. The head is off to prove bore and pistons. I understand your concerns though. I want normal aspirated to do post historic rallies in Scotland where turbo is taboo.I have priced it to sell. Bearing in mind the turbo is not well

For Gary and Benross. I have been restoring a 1991 cooper on and of for 6 years. Most of the time I have been building and maintaining my sons rally cars. The mini has always been on the back burner. Engine wise I sourced a metro turbo engine striped it down then proceeded to source the parts required. Most of the parts came from Avonbar over a 2 to 3 year period. The forged pistons I have the receipt from Avonbar but it does not state the make and I can't remember . My ad is a bit vague because if anyone is interested then they can make contact and I will answer any questions they have. If you look at the tech section under SMOKEY ENGINE you will see that I now have the engine built and finally installed in the car. I removed the head checked the valve seals and guides they are fine. The one component I'd not recon was the turbo it this would appear to be the problem. Some time ago I regretted my decision to go down the turbo route but I had started so I thought I should Finnish. Now I have had enough I do not want to spend anymore money on this engine when I would prefer the n/a route. I have all the receipts for pistons, bearings, oil and water pumps etc. I understand your concerns where engines are advertised and I will have the same problem if I accept a deal for someone else's engine. Your comments have killed that dead thanks

I'm not concerned about your advert.

I was intrigued by your decision to go for an N/A engine when you are after 'poke'.

You have given a genuine reason and I don't believe my comment has put of any buyers. Feel free to ask a moderator to remove it if you feel otherwise.

my comment was put, for people to be cautious nothing more as you have few posts......... and we have had a lot of ning nangs reaming peeps outover the years.

now you have explained your reason in full etc....... you may well have good interest in the engine............ my comment were not to scupper your sale but to make peeps aware as stated ....... simple as

Engine now sold locally. Thanks for the use of the site and all interested parties. I still do not understand what Ning nangs and peepers are though.
