hi.

i have a 400 cc race bike wich has had a new head gasket... now i have put back the engine in the bike and filled it up with oil and tryed to start it i seen that it leaked oil on that head gasket (what was the fucking reason why i had it fixed for!!!!!!!!!!!) but i started it anyway to hear if it revved well and so on. now it stands in the garage for 12 hours without leaking a drop of oil.

can it be that everything had to heat up to close up?

its an all aluminum engine. and second of the question... should i tighten the head bolts up again now it has heated and cooled down again?

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

Might be worth re-torquing the head. Did you have any work done to the head while it was off?

they wore supposed to check it and if necessary reface it. but all i know is that they had a 16 year old school boy re assemble it ( what maid me pissed and go get the engine back in and out in 10 seconds so no time to ask what they did with it)
