Some more details about your build, and your intentions. As said, wastegates are typically only used on turbocharged cars for a very specific task.

Blow through and intercooler combined with that blower...also raises a query or two

How are you configuring everything ?

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

Well I have the engine builded by a mini raceshop here in the north of Holland. They advised me a sw5 cam and with dished pistons(MED, Omega's)and a MED turbohead.
The M45 is front mounted. The intercooler(small one from Audi/volkswagen) is mounted below(in the zeemax frontbumper).
I talked yesterday with specialist(also salesman)and advised me dumpvalve and wastegate. dumpvalve to keep the M45 rotating freely and wastegate to level the pressure shocks.
Im a tomatogrower so I have more greenhands then black ones.
And its very full under the bonnet.

Regards Bill

I think you need to put some of what the salesman has been talking onto your tomato plants!

Bill,
Which mini race shop (PM me if you want)?
"Here in the north of Holland" does not compare to Eindhoven in your profile?
I live near Groningen, hence the question.

I am planning to use the circulation valve Chalkie mentions combined with an ordinairy dumpvalve as this was needed by experience of Stu when he was still using a blower.

Wastegate sounds strange to me, are you sure nothing got lost intranslation?
