A friend managed to aquire me a welder for the grand sum of 60pounds

Came with 2 masks (not the one thats on it but oldschool one not of much use), some stainless wire, a regulator, and an electric thing that goes into the reg (not sure what it is but it came with it) set it all up, had a play not expecting a lot and it welds tin levely.

Very happy :)

Hahaha, no it was actually fully legit, my mate went to buy a lathe, he knew i wanted my own mig for when i move my car off the farm so asked what she wanted for a welder that was sat in the corner, so 60 quid lighter i now have a nice little welder. :) chuffed

Its in fairly good nick, dosnt feel used that well. Has been sat for a couple of years but hooked it up to the farm welder gas and it welded ok from the off, got it set lovely on tin doing straight welds with no blow through, but plenty of penetration, look forward to having a play with it and see what settings it likes.

Just got to get my own gas bottle from boc tho as it was set up on carbon dioxide before.

Nice buy!
"an electric thing that goes into the reg "
That would be a heater for using CO2 gas (good for welding structural steelwork with E71T1 flux cored wire). Without that the regulator freezes up.
