Well, as i'm getting close to getting the car ready for the mot, i thought i'd do some research on my premium for the turbo.

I've only tried HIC so far who came in at £188 full comp which i'm pretty happy with so far given my recent fault claim and having no NCB to use on this car.

At this rate, i'm hoping to get the car roadworthy in april so i can get the engine run in before the show season

Better than my 1100 renewal quote on a std renault clio, 7yrs driving 6yrs ncb, no points and a ban, re did quote on the net same company also alowing me to lower the car by up to 60mm and 1200 stereo cover for 588 with garanteed ncb protection!

Take your quote and re do it as a new quote in a few days but keep the referance number, garanteed to be cheaper.

They quoted me £270 last week, haggled down from 330.

Be wiser have just quoted me £199 but I want to check the standard of cover before accepting.

I have myself too, but was about £500 out of pocket. I was just curious as peoples premiums seemed fairly cheap compared to most insurance premiums these days.

I suppose age will have a significant impact on the premium. That and the fact the car is a second car for me at least with limited miles

I pay just over £500, for a bog standard 998, I'm 21 with 2 years no claims, and its a normal policy, not a classic car one.

That's the main difference. Get it on a limited mileage, classic car policy and it'll halve.

You're getting robbed Johnny! Get on the comparison sites like GoCompare or Confused, or possibly Directline as the car is standard.

There's no better driving experience than putting your car on it's roof. Her insurance know she's not going to be doing that again in a hurry. I would still shop around though.
