dan, set the inlets @ 0.012" and the exausts @ 0.014" a little more on the exahaust side due to the extra heat of force induction.

why are the valve clearences so large on the a series? Speeding is like masturbating, everyone does it, but not all of us film it and put it on the internet

is it to do with the opening and closing ramps on the cam? or to do with them closing/opening up with the heat of the engine? Speeding is like masturbating, everyone does it, but not all of us film it and put it on the internet

Cheers steve. Will sort that this week hopefully. Wanted to fire it up last night, but have no clutch - managed to get the wok off with the engine insitu, massive play in the clutch clevis pin, plunger and arm. Was getting full movement on the hydraulics but that was all being taken up by the wear in these components. Waiting for replacements to arrive so can hopefully get it all back together again. Cheers, dan |
