I voted but not for mini...how you can say a train rather than life saving medicines are a great innovation is just wrong..

Because if humankind hadn't been pushing the boundaries of science in things like steam engines back in those days, I doubt the generations of those times would have been interested in medicine either.

Innovation covers many things, each to their own.

I totally agree, being an R&D engineer myself!, but the question is whats the best british innovation, im sure in the day the train was fantastic but the poll is now not then.

Placed my vote. The mini is currently sharing 8% of the vote along with 3 other innovations.

Life is always a matter of opinion and quite frankly, no ones opinion really matters.

I see Dr Moulton's bike is in their as well, so technically the Mini and the Mini's suspension is in the running.

Maybe for you it is.

Does the human race really need to be saved though?

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I don't think any less of people for wanting to support what they want to support, but what I dont like is being told the error of my ways for not supporting humanitarian charities :)

"those who mind, don't matter and those who mater don't mind"

I voted Radar, without this great invention the BMW mini would have been a thing of the 50's rather than the 90's.... *wink*
