Hi guys im new to the forum,

Quick little story to get started, so i got home from work last night and as i was walking up my drive my next door neighbor shouted me over. He said he had been clearing out his garage (at which point my ears picked up *smiley* ) he said he was about to go to the tip with a load of scrap and wondered if i wanted this before he took it *surprised*



Its a Garrett GT1549P which i believe is one of the turbos yous use?

The main problem is at the moment i have little knowledge of turbos and even less of turboing a mini.
I think the plan will be to rebuild the 998 engine that i have blown up twice this year so far :$ with this turbo if its ok, i also have a spare 1275 head so i think ill put that on to *smiley*.

Sounds like a good plan. Exhaust inlet and downpipe might be fun, but it looks doable.

lol im going to have to do a bit of research first i think. my current thinking is just bolt it on and off i go but iv got a feeling its not quite that simple lol, im having a good read through some of the build threads at the moment to get a better idea of what to do
