So, I've seen this on ebay. Had success buying write-offs before, but is this one worth the risk?
Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

hmm not so sure if its that simple a fix ,if it was im sure the guy sellin it would have it running its still 9 grand for a car that doesent run give em hell |

I personally wouldn't want a stolen and recovered car, after seeing these police chase action things and seeing the kind of stunts the knob ends that steal them pull to avoid capture. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

I'm guessing it would be a good car for a bank job, fast go anywhere, doesn't stick out.... I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Its a tough one. Agree that you've no idea how it has been treated, however it is a lot of car for the money. What is retail on one of these on the forecourt?

Looks like the left hand intercooler hose is off.

Theyve probibly just got the spare key so its not coded to the car 13.95 1/4 mile on a 2.95 fd. Carnt be that hard to beat! |

Cat d is no problem. You get them cheap and sell them cheap. You never loos more money than any other car. Well that's my experience. and the older the car gets, the less important it becomes.

So long as you are realistic about what it could cost to put right, I don't think you can go far wrong. If worst case you allow £5k on top of the asking price in case it requires a new engine and recoding at the Subaru dealer, then you still have a cheap car at £12k. Of course you might get lucky and have it on the road for £500, in which case it's a VERY cheap car.

nice motor, could you contact the previous owner to see if they know anything. I suppose if you know your way around modern cars its worth the risk but only if you have 9k sitting in your pockets |
