I have a trailer, which has been made from a caravan base, the brakes are not auto anti lock when reversing. What do I need to change to make them auto anti lock? is it the head / coupling, or the brakes or both?
cheers

you have to get out and clip the hook into place , thats hanging by a zip tie and it will stop the brakes beening appiled when reverseing ....

Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

Generally the reverse systems are in the brakes.

the brakes on my trailer basically don't work in reverse, same on my mates.

Not sure how this is done mind.

one of ours is defo a head one, you can physically see the head doesnt move back as you reverse, whereas when you brake (pull up) it does move.

thought it was an "alko" one.
