to be honest they have given you a load of bits which should all go together perfect! since you bought the kit off them it would be wise to sort this problem with minispeed, because if you start to put it together and alter things minispeed will tell you to fook off......

sadly I have had many peeps engines who was in the same predicament as you.

How can a crank grow? surely standard ones should go in.

I can't see how it's possible to sell an engine in kit form, as you'd need to assemble it to know what size thrusts to use? If they assembled it to work this out then why take it apart again? Lol

Have you read through the Haynes manual, that should give you a good idea of what to look for?

matty I like you logic .....lol

sadly what happens is they get a load of scrap parts from different engines machine these up.............. sort of!.... fire them in a box and "hey presto you have your go faster road rocket engine"......... the sad part is its left to the poor inexperienced punter to try and fit it all together who indefinitely fails because it just thrown all in a box all wrong incorrectly machined etc ......!!

Fit the thrusts in one side of the crank, then measure the end float accurately with a dial gauge. Measure the other thrust thickness accurately with a vernier and compare measurements

I seriously doubt it!

Sometimes parts grow a little during a Nitrocarburizing process.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
