Hi all building a engine for a mate as it all just been machined and reground etc and I cant even get the thrusts in? and the std ones anybody shedany light? Thanks charlie |

Try some different thrusts. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

to be honest they have given you a load of bits which should all go together perfect! since you bought the kit off them it would be wise to sort this problem with minispeed, because if you start to put it together and alter things minispeed will tell you to fook off......

I can't see how it's possible to sell an engine in kit form, as you'd need to assemble it to know what size thrusts to use? If they assembled it to work this out then why take it apart again? Lol

Fit the thrusts in one side of the crank, then measure the end float accurately with a dial gauge. Measure the other thrust thickness accurately with a vernier and compare measurements I seriously doubt it! |

this is not the first set of problems ive heard, heavily helicoiled block and camshaft that was fitted was not the one ordered, and waiting for ages to get |
