Is there a way to test a thermocouple to see if its dead? I have a Hks guage that's showing a constant error. I've recently been working on the turbo and there's a possibility it may have been damaged. I've checked the wiring and all is good and no signs if visible damage. Can they be tested with a multimeter?

you might be able to I would expect a digital multimeter is low enough impedance, but the voltage swing is very small on them. the change is about 40 µV/°C for the common types so your looking at 10 milivolts change for 100deg c

A decent multimeter should do it, as this is what I used to use at work for testing them. They are pretty bomb proof tbh, they generally completely fail and go open circuit or work. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel
