i have been through the search section and still undecided What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve

my understanding is that they do 2 very differing things; the paint simply withstands high temps whereas the wrap keeps the heat in the exhaust allowing it to dissipate further down the system away from the engine/ under bonnet area |

VHT paint, in my limited experience, is useless. Even when applied to shot blasted components it always flakes off in the end. Either wrap or ceramic coat it, the latter of two being rather expensive |

Wrap is good if you have room ro get it on there,having tried it on a few projects vht paint is fooking wank how ever its applied and not even worth considering imo On 18th Oct, 2013 apbellamy said:

Agreed on the VHT! It smokes away! lol If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

I did my n/a one over winter. Wrapped it then did it with DEI coating stuff. Seems to have worked well, well once it stopped smoking!

looks like im using the rest of the exhaust wrap from last time, cheers for the advice guys.

Depending on how you intend on using the car I have heard wrap contributing to hear gasket failure.

I got my maniflow nickel plated 2 years ago and still looks smart, with a little jap style blueing on the bends. Life is always a matter of opinion and quite frankly, no ones opinion really matters. |
