Hi chaps,

Just a quick one.

What coolant do guys use?

Ian form Avonbar recommended Motul he reckons that if you use it neat it can not boil.

I have used Motul but not used it neat.

Today was the first day of the car being road legal so i am getting used to how it runs etc. The temp guage was reading between N and H. Granted i was just poodling around so not alot of air over the engine and i did not have the electric fan on either.

I just thought i would ask what coolant you chaps use and if you dilute it or not?

Somewhere around Swindon

a coolant that is designed to be used with water is less effective if used neat

VAG G11 for engines with little aluminium components or G12 for engines with major aluminium components. Always use at the very maximum a 50/50 mix

There is also a new waterless coolant available which prevents any boil over or internal corrosion as it suggests it contains no watter.

Im not sure your man gave you the best advice using aregular coolant neat since that will have less heat transfer capabilities than a50/50 mix

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
