Just sent a parcel which I had quoted the buyer £4.00 p+p 1st class which I got from the Ebay postage calculator. In reality it was well over £20.00, second class was over £19.00.

Dont trust the calculator guys

I seriously doubt it!

Royal Mail's parcel pricing structure changed radically on 1st April to be based on size as well as weight but it got very little Press.

I'll bet eBay were slow in updating their system to match or just haven't bothered.

Royal Mail basically don't want to do large or heavy parcels anymore - Parcel2go (and the others) just became way cheaper....

Paul posted this as he felt he had to get a parcel to me quickly and paid a disproportionate amount to do so. If I had known it was going to cost so much I would have negotiated something more reasonable with him, but top marks to the man for keeping to his word, even if it cost him !
