Yep, me and a couple of others have all had problems with center speedo cables from minispares 'made in Britain'. Moss Europe sell a foreign made (forget where) and all replacements so far have been ok. British rubbish! |

I fitted a brand new cable, checked about 10 times it was located properly in both ends, it would work perfectly when cold, when the engine started to warm up it would start to show a greatly reduced speed, eventually dropping off altogether :/ On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

One of the funniest things I saw was when I took a workmate for a spin in the Sprint one lunchtime, the speedo needle was back round at 0 and started squealing then actually fell off I seriously doubt it! |

Yes I had this, it snapped 3 times, so I went for a sorter cable and looked at how it was routed, I found there was not so clean bends in it. now its been working fine. I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf
