if you want it switchable ( i think robert uses a solenoid) then this needs to be between the inlet manifold and the float bowl

Mine has a solenoid in the lean off pipe which stays open until the MJ switches it closed.

Needs more fiddling. drill out the nipple top front on the carb, either make the hole ever so slightly larger or drill it through with about 4mm drill and use a bleed valve i love it because i can fuel 12afr in the same needle position as 18afr at part throttle Yes i moved to the darkside |

How does it add fuel brett? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

How does it add fuel brett? opposite way it takes fuel
basically the lean off pipe allows pressure out the float bowl on boost and sucks it out on vacuum (manifold) now if you control that flow of air either way you can control not only the lean out at part throttle but also the air pressure above the fuel on boost (more pressure more fuel) obviously this needs to be matched too a needle and i have only been able to manage it using position sensors and pressure sensors, it would have been easier im sure to go full fuel injection

If doing this you need something adjustable, my first attempt used a solenoid and switch, opening it made it run massivly lean off the gauge and it missfired and stuttered, then changed to a bleed valve which I could have half open and it was spot on. Audi s4 b5 - 470bhp & 486ft lbs

Cheers Brett. I tried something similar, but by t-ing into the signal line from my pitot tube. Couldnt seem to get enough vacuum at cruise to make a difference. By the way how much vac are you guys seeing at cruise ? "So wat we gonna do tonight Brain?"

Damn, so this mod will probably not work then. Maybe I should have a go at filing a new needle for it, I have to check my graphs again as I seem to remember the first 5 stations being fairly untouched from standard. "So wat we gonna do tonight Brain?"
