I've got an MPI fan on the front of mine blowing through it.

Cuts in and out when I am sat in traffic, never comes on when on the move.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

It's not extra weight it is ballast to stop it going too fast.

Hi Nick,

I will reply to your Pm on this page as it may of be some help to someone.

First of all, my rad is a one off and I am using an electric pump, if you did not know already, but some of what I put here might help you.

I started with the good old CAD (cardboard-aided design) and made some discs the size of the fans, so I could work out what size I needed.

Next was the fan. I looked at what felt like every fan website on the net, until I found the best and thinest one I could. Also I went for the smallest starter as Every Little Helps!

As you may make out in the pic a good 1/4 of the back of the fan is cut off, so it fits nice, down the back of the radiator.

As for what it is like. Well I have wired it to a light on the dash just to keep an eye on whats going on. It's never on when I am on the move, around town it comes on and keeps the engine at a good temperature. I have never had it overheat so far.

I hope this is of some help simon.
