Can we do something about what is acceptable to use as an avatar picture!?

Some people are using animated pictures that are borderline acceptable for it's intended purpose.

(YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE)

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a bit of a laugh, swearing and a tit or two here and there, but to have the same picture show up over and over in a seemingly inconspicuous topic without any prior warning fucks the whole site over for those who wish to view this forum while at work, and that is only the start.

In the main when something has been considered borderline, it is lablesd as Not Safe For Work (NSFW) to warn those at work. I have absolutely no problem with that, but you get fuck all warning with an avatar!!

As fun as these borderline animated avatars are, it's un controlable and un necessary.

You can turn avatars off in your control panel as a temporary measure.

I know what you mean. Personally I find them very distracting. It took me 10 minutes to read two posts the other day

WTF? Colin go and take a chill pill. It's an Avatar, it has no real bearing on your day to day life.

What a load of bollocks. This isn't the first time you have moaned about this, and I will give you the same answer as last time, if you are worried about getting in bother at work, then don't view forums at work?

Or, you can do what I do and use Chrome/Firefox with Ad Block Plus, which you can then use to block pictures by source address, so then you can pick and choose what appears on the screen when loaded :)

Why did you change it Lee? If it broke a rule, then a moderator would have pointed out to you.

I am happy to change mine, but just a "hey Neil you avatar is causing me probs at work can you change it please" would do and i would happily change it.

Personally hasn't this post been up abit to long? Not wanting to annoy anyone but I think sprox has understood and some people may get overly annoyed about it. To stop possible confrontation
