i have never been able to understand this, but i think i have cracked it

right inlet cam 240 duration and a centreline angle of 120 timed in at 120 degrees

exhaust cam 240 duration, centreline of 120 and timed in at 117 degrees

exhaust cam timed it at 117 deg btdc
inlet cam timed in at 120deg atdc

by my calcs the exhaust cam closes 3deg after tdc and the inlet opens at 0tdc
3deg overlap ?
am i correct so far?

right now if i advance the inlet cam 20deg the valves open 20deg sooner ie 20deg btdc ( and 23 deg overlap)

and if i advance the exhaust cam 20 deg the valves close 20 deg earlier ie 17deg btdc

please dont tell me that is wrong my head is already a mess lol *happy*

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*
