Hi guys,

I haven't posted in a good while so apologies for that, having not touched or made any progress with my mini in a good while. I really wanted to finish it but just lost interest and have now come to the point where I dont have the time, money or space to finish it, so im selling up!!

I have a complete 1293cc rebuilt engine with upgrades, built to last at 180bhp. The engine has been in the car and has run but not been run-in so it is proven. The engine was taken out due to some adjustment being needed on the crank endfloat/thrust washers and that is completed, just the engine was never put back in and the car finished off! Shame really.

Anyway - i have a comprehensive build thread on this forum, so any work done and parts fitted has been documented in here. Unfortunately I never bothered keeping receipts for the parts I bought but luckily took pics of most things in the build thread which can be found here -

So first up for sale is the engine, all work was carried out by myself, built properly and within tolerances etc with good attention to detail. All parts are brand new and have only been used 'running' for all of 5 mins. Brand new gaskets etc, Here's the spec

Benross completely worked cylinder head, majorly ported, hot-spots removed etc (cost £700)

T3 turbocharger - no play

Grey rated Clutch cover

Complete gearbox rebuild with new bearings and parts, casing acid dipped etc.

13x7 Weller wheels, refurbished satin black and green pinstripe. Currently have tyres fitted but theyre shagged, wheels still mint - £200





Really nice Fletcher side exit stainless exhaust (mint) and manfilfow turbo downpipe, £130:




G - reg mini mayfair shell and logbook. Pretty clean and solid, few little rusty bits on a-panels and sills but mostly very solid. Has turbo box welded in, 1 piece fiberglass flipfront with crystal headlights, carbon fibre miglia arches, stripped interior, sound deadening removed, mountney steering wheel. No seats or dashboard or interior parts, loom needs some work and tidying but is mostly all there. Been sat a while so the balljoints and brakes are all crusty.

£850 with wheels £650 without.

Also have a clean cobra Imola fixed back bucket seat and sidemounts £170 no pics yet.


So roughly all parts up for grabs add up to around £3000, which is what the engine cost me to build alone. Excluding megajolt, wheels and shell etc. Prices are negotiable but no low-balling or time wasting please otherwise i'll just keep the parts and finish the car!!

I depressingly added it up and the engine alone cost me 3k to build, i know you never get what you paid for back when selling things, but its hard letting it go at £2000, purely because all the parts are still like new!

Saying that i've been a bit of a wally pricing the shell and V5, i've changed the asking price to £650 as the shell is very solid and there's some shitters being sold for similar price! Dont want to stitch myself over otherwise id just aswell keep all the parts!

FYI to any one else interested in parts, i've priced everything at what I think are fair prices and in some ways pretty good deals! So the prices are pretty much fixed to be honest.
