Just fitted my new arp studs, which is a much better fit than the standard ones. Anyway a couple are touching the cam, rather than cutting the top off the studs as I want to keep the keyway, I thought it would be easier to machine a little off the cam. Though I would not be taking a lot off, I was wondering if this would impact on the balance of the cam or anything else.

I can't see it being a problem. You'll probably have to cylindrically grind it though as it will be hard.

Either that, or die down the stud on the block side, so it goes in further.

the can will turn down no problem, i opt to reduce the length of the studs,as it removes weight,
