As the exterior door handle of the wife's Abarth came off in my hands this morning, I need to put a new on on. Common problem it seems.

The only door panel I've ever removed is a mini.

I've found all the screws that hold it on, just need advice on useful tools to get the clip things out.

These sort of things...

The amazon one wil. The halfords one we hardly use , its only usefull for the horse shoe style clip on the back of a old ford window winder.

To be honest if you can get say a plastic wedge inder the bottom corner of the panel it should then be enough to get your fingers under to give a swift pull. The top part of the panel is usualy hooked over the inner weather strip.

Sorry carnt help more. Only had a handfull of 500's in and non of them with the door panel off lol

My nieces 500 did the same thing.

Cheers guys.

I also have a new boot handle to fit and a new lever on the seat to tip it forward.

We've had the car from new in 2009 and only done 25k in it, total crap.

Our gerts mate has a 12 plate twin air. It's broken down on her 5 times! Coil packs, clutch packed in, wouldn't start etc. She's been trying to make fiat take the car back but they aren't Having it.
