On the way home this evening a fancy mercedes flew past me on a stretch of road that had loose chippings put down (signs all ova place) and flicked some up at me. Ive now got three tiny chips in my windscreen. I chased him for chuffin miles to get his reg (felt the right thing to do at the time).

I'm pissed off and dont know wot to do next. I don't want sum dodgy repair, id want it replacng as its not my fault and always take care through them Shit chopping they put down.

Rant over

Adrian

Shropshire.

Most insurance has screen cover and claiming wont affect your NCB. It's crap but I'm sure you can't claim on the other parties insurance for the result of a stone chip

Tiny chips can be repaired, usually for free. Speak to your insurance.

Its a bummer but his word against yours, and youd prob never prove it was him kicking the stone. Thats why unfortunatly we have insurance.

Chips can be done for free on your insurance or you usually have a cheaper glass excess.

To make u feel better !!! A friend of mine was coming over blacker lane last week in his vx220 to find a van in the middle of the road, in the split second he had to swerve to miss it n ended up in the headge. He was and is a sensible driver with his daughter in the car. Van carryed on driving and now were in talks with the insurance for a 5k + repair bill as its ripped the front clamshell off.

It might be worth speaking to the county council responsible for the road. You never know, they may help with a repair or replacement screen cost.
