Chaps just running in a rebuild and wanted your opinions on my plug colour... the pics not that clear but the electrode insulator in the centre is glazed a little on one side.. the plug is mainly black but the bit you gap is light brown.. im thinking too rich on tick over and too lean on boost.. It is running on tick over to the point you can get away with starting it up without a choke.. its running low boost, should be slightly low comp, 11cc pistons, 27cc chambers 1380cc... BPR6ES plugs Standard BDD needle.
Im thinking run leaner on tick over, upgrade the needle and change the plugs to a BPR7ES..thanks
Bloody pic wont up load will keep trying..

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

hope you have a AEM lamba fitted ? this is a must have a look here this is what you need! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AEM-Wideband-AFR...=item19dc38f4db

it looks lean to me and the glazed colour is typical of hard acceleration with weak mixture ........... please get this sorted before it ends in tears

Id consider changing to 7s depending on boost, and book in at a rolling road who knows what they are doing for a tune up...

I assume low boost in which case the 6's should be ok,

idle can be taken care of with the mixture screw,

get an afr guage in and see what its doing, and get a file on the needle to richen it up pronto

You can't really get a detailed view of fuelling from plug colour. They certainly won't tell you that it's rich at idle and lean on boost as you suggest.

At best they'll tell you a prevailing average, rich or lean or somewhere in between.

Even on low boost I'd use 7 plugs, as listed standard for the Metro turbo
