Been looking over this fourm and mini
Fourm and I can't find much about how much mileage you will get from a turbo daily drive mini . I know it's about how you drive but would someone be able to give me An idea ,if I had a simple copy of a metro turbo set up t2 or t3 not sure what with around 110bhp not sure on psi and will drive sensible the engine will have 21253 pistons .

If you build and treat it right and dont go daft with the power you can expect 100,000+ miles. I've seen plenty metro turbo's still going after this milage.

do you mean total miles or MPG?

as John notes, it will come down to how well it is cared for and driven on both counts

If you meran longevity, then it's not an issue. I've run mine for 4 years and it's still ok. In fact the thing that has currently stopped it is the turbo, not the engine.

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

If you mean MPG the as Rob says te same applies. If you are sensible with your engine spec, build it properly and use the part throttle lean off there is no reason why you couldnt achieve high 30's when driven sensibly.

Ok will the standard box with a rebuild and a uprated diff pin handle 110-120 or is it on the limit . And what will this be like to drive will it be fast as I have only ever had a 998 mini with about 40bhp and will the 0-60 be in the 7s or higher .

I'd put a x-pin diff in for peace of mine but the rest of it should be ok as long as you don't drive it like you stole it everywhere doing emergency starts etc.

Compared to a 40bhp 998 is will feel like an F1 car! 100bhp is more than enough to make a mini feel fast.

As for the 0-60 its all down to the weight, grip etc etc but expect it to be similar or slightly to the ERA turbo which with 95ish bhp did 0-60 in 8 seconds.

All the questioned you have asked so far have been answered before on this forum so suggest you start using the search feature.

my old turbo engine would have made a really nice daily drive, mildly tuned 1300, 10psi, t3. the big t3 and tall gearing ment that it could be driven about town off boost if required

wil h what sort of power do you have in your 998 and how many miles does this cover a year . would you be able to give me a rough set up for your 998 and bhp figures , will this make a good daily drive and would this be into 8 seconds 0-60 for 90-100bhp and is this strain a 998 engine alot.
