Hi all,

Been the owner of a 1981, 998cc Mini for over ten years now, but just recently moved to a house with a garage, (with a pit!) for the first time which is allowing me to contemplate more serious and long-term work on the car.

There's plenty of work to do, but one of the primary jobs is to strip and rebuild the gearbox and engine, which seems like a good time to contemplate the forced induction question. I'm currently leaning towards supercharging rather than turbocharging, but I've not made my final decision yet.

I'm in the process of reading through old threads, (which are really helpful!) at the moment as I've not had any involvement with forced induction previously and I'm trying to find out if it's something I'm going to be able to tackle.

I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions soon!
