Valve Collets

I went into tonight with the thoughts of finishing the head and maybe bolting it onto the engine....but on gathering my parts i appear to have misplaced / lost / put in a safe place the valve collets.

I managed to find most but not all. As luck would have it, its the larger diameter exhaust valve collets i am missing, ive got loads of the standard ones!! Bugger..

I am lucky enough to have friends who race minis etc but none had any 8mm collets.

Then i stumbled across some granada triple collets (my friend races them). They appear exactly the same to look at, a quick measure with a vernier and they measure up...

Is this a very lucky coincident or is there anyone with more technical knowledge than mine to point out they are the same or dont use them for some reason???

If they are identical in size, and the tapers match then I can't see a problem using them. It's quite likely that they are identical items, it wouldn't be the first time manufacturers use the same parts.

if they are the turbo exhaust collets they are diffrent!... how many do you want please pm me i will help as usual

They are different to standard collets, but may be the same as Granada collets.
