Looks like you've got a bit of welding to do!

Agree with andy though. Ditch those oversills

Yeah. The old sils are removed. But we thend to use those becose they are closed . But do understand that i am not using those to cover up old rusty ones. As you can see in one of the pics.

You need to vent them as a minimum. They are absolute rot traps even with the old sills removed. Personally I would cut them down so that they are similar to standard sills if you don't want to fit normal ones.

They are already welded in but puting it that way...still have the option to open up the lumps (i tought it rusted like that because of dirth getting in those slots). The whole chamber is sprayed in with zinga and monefer paint after welding and wil get a coat of wax afterwards. (The whole car gets sprayed with cathodic zinc paint before painting.

Is it normal that a crankshaft looks slightly scored? I have one for my engine build. Run aprox 4000 miles from new but like i said verry slightly scored.

20w50 croon oil for classic cars.... Every 2500miles... now days i use milners hope it does better job than since i costs me 50 pounds for 5 litre. ..

Oh well reground it is... one more setback to pull in with the others. Can i get bigger bearing shels than? Or how does that work?

The shells go up in 0.010" increments to + 0.040". Minispares stock them.

I'd take the crank to your machine shop and let them comment; I've had some marks polished out before on a standard grind. As 100Evo8 has commented though, if you can feel them, it will need a bit more!

Cant feel them but its clearly visable there is marking (as you can see in picks) and as i remembered yesterday my pistons had the same marking on them when i striped the engine... maybe that croonoil aind that good.
