I am 2 cm deep and i thought i better ask before i go further.

there is nothing wrong with a A-series that a turbo can't fix.

apparently the thing to do is drill till you fine no4 piston...

I'd sugest that you drill slightly up and toward no 3 so your more likely too find the water jacket.

these may help give an idea of depth.

Vegard, I think there was intentional innuendo, as is the TM way *happy*

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Somewhere on this forum i found someone who needed to drill 8cm *surprised*

Yesterday i got to 7 cm and still no water. Only metal(no cilinderwall yet) So i will drill the extra 1cm today.

The picture i posted tricked me to believe i only needed to drill 2 cm. But now i see the bolt on the back, there already was a waterchannel there.

Back to the garage :)

@Sprocket, it sounds way better in English than in Dutch *hehe!*

YES, i finally see water coming out of the hole i drilled.

At first i felt i broke through a void but no water came out when i filled the engine with water.
After i removed a plug to look into the waterchannel an removed a lot of dirt it started flowing.
I will give the engine a good flush now it's out.

Tip: drill slightly upward. I needed to go 8 cm deep and if i went up 1 cm upwards it was perfect. Now i am at the bottom of the waterjacket.

How big did you make the hole?
It must be big enough to cool the turbo. Wat is needed, 6mm?
