Hi there,

Just wondered if anyone knows what size woodruff key is required between the cam verniers and the cam adapters. I have measured the keyways but cannot find a key to fit?

Thanks in advance,

Martin

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

easiest thing to do is make some from some key steel the size you need.

It's for the Morspeed kit.

I could make them thats a good idea, I assume it has to be a tight fit in the width to stop any play. Also does it have to be moon shaped?

Thanks again

Yeah they'll have to be half moon shaped. You can buy them in various widths, I think 3mm rings a bell with mine. You can always file the width down to the correct size you need.

Yep need to be a light interference fit in the cams, and the pulleys should be a nice slide fit. Just make sure the key doesn't contact hard on the top face.

Are the morspeed keys really woodruff keys and not the feather keys that everyone else uses?

To be honest, i have never heard of feather keys but following a google search they look more suited to the key ways.
This was why I asked if it had to be half moon shaped, as my key ways are straight slots. Will get some key steel and cut them to size. Thanks Matty and Sprocket for your help as always
