So my indicators don't cancel which I thought meant that's the way they were from the factory however after a bit of digging I see there is a black ring around the steering column which if turned knocks the indicator stalk off.

But thing is the ring doesn't turn with the column, is there a bit missing which joins it to the column/underside of the steering wheel or should I just bond it to the column in some way?

Thanks for your help!

P.S. It looks like I have fat hands but I don't... honestly!

The steering wheel adaptor is missing two little tongues, wich turn the plasic ring.

Go back to std steering wheel helps. Or drill a hole, tap it and put a long screw in, so it turns the plasic ring.

Have a look at the back of the adapter. They usually have a couple of holes drilled in them for a roll pin to be fitted to replace the 'tongue' on the standard wheel.

Even if its not got the hole, it souldn't be too hard to adapt the current one

Ahhh, thanks gentlemen! From memory I think there are two holes in the boss, I should be able to make something work then. Great!

The mountney classic boss does indeed have two holes in its base for roll pins :)

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
