I always buy those kit to repair a rear radius arm but the shaft always needs machining to fit on the side of the metal bush. Now i get sick and tyred of that so was thinking to buy a bore thing (cant find correct word in English) to make the hole in the radius arm bigger. Problem with that is that the metal bush has a split thats stands open about 1mm. Would that be a problem? (If anyone understands what i mean)

you mean the bush and not the needle bearing, right?
the bush always needs reaming (in line with the needle bearing) to make the shaft fit.

Yeah the bush. I never fetle with that because its already so thin. Instead we downsize the shaft to fit. But its not easy this way. So was plannig to make the hole in the radius arm itselve bigger so shaft and bush fit in it without adapting. . But you say the bush needs to be adapted?

You fit the bush, then ream it out.

The bush has always been reamed to size after it has been fitted.

There shouldnt be any gap in the bush once fitted but if there is that might be the old minisport quality issue again, i dont know, as i havent seen them, so that is pure speculation.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

well... the shafts are hard as bone but the bush wears out faster than the original ones... thats why i never reamed them. To keep them as thick as possible. But i guess its the easiest way to go.
