Hi Guys,

Ive got to pop my winscreen back in tomo. I've fitted the front and back once before a few years ago now. Ive got to fit the front as i have had the scuttle painted, but i need to do this before i bring the car home. I just wonderered if you guys would confirm the easiest way to fit the screen.
Seal on the screen or seal on the car?
Last thing i want to do is scartch the scuttle. I have just watched a video on u tube and i was noit impressed. The guy uses a knife to cut the old screen out! When he fits the new one he uses a large flat blade screwdriver, luckily he does not slip!

you'll need patience. and obviously the tool for the chrome trim.
I think most place rubber on the car first.

I've always used a bit of wire and a second pairs of hands method. Never failed.

i have dont the front screen a few times, rubber on the car, fit the glass into the bottom first and lay it back working up the side gently easing the rubber over

waching up liquid mixed 50/50 with water you dont need alot makes for great window lube

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

I've had no prob at all with this method:
Fit windscreen rubber to car, add fairy liquid to lubricate.
Cover front end with sheets to protect paint.
Fit screen to car. Massage it into place. Apply pressure to pop the screen into the bottom two corners of the seal by hand.
It will be necessary to use a blunt tyre lever type instrument to get the seal to go over the glass on the top two corners.
Use proper Minispares tool to fit finishing strip to the windscreen rubber

if you have the chrome strip i recommend soaking it in a bucket of hot ( but not boiling) water to soften it up, makes life sooo easy

I am working tomorrow night or I could of give you a hand mate, I have used a cake icing thing (I stole of the wife) before as it don't mark if you slip. Also I do it like Brett has said.

I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf

Nothing is impossible it just costs more and takes longer.
