Hi All
I have had a diagnostic check done on my mini as its not running well when reaching 50 - 70mph and keeps cutting out when coming to junctions the garage says that the above part is not working and need a new one .....i have also been told that this sensor only operates the oil gauge in the car nothing to do with running of engine can anyone please advise who is right

Just the oil gauge i believe. Water temp sensor can cause problems. I also had a simular problem a few years ago, wirinf to the sensor on the inlet manifold on the rear right ( cant remember what its called now off the top of my head ) had broke

my car runs fine and the oil temp sensor is currently disconnected...
